Privacy Policy

We're serious about protecting your information - it's kind of our whole thing.

Last Updated: November 10, 2025

Look, we get it - privacy policies are usually about as exciting as watching paint dry. But here's the thing: we're Pyrethion Stronghold, and we help brands protect their most valuable assets. That means we take security and privacy seriously, not just for our clients, but for everyone who interacts with us.

This policy lays out how we handle your personal information when you visit our site, reach out to us, or work with us. We've tried to keep it straightforward without all the legal jargon that makes your eyes glaze over. That said, there's some stuff we gotta cover to stay compliant with Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA, for the acronym fans out there).

By using our website or services, you're agreeing to what's outlined here. If something doesn't sit right with you, let's talk about it.

We're not in the business of hoarding data for fun. We only collect what we actually need to provide our services and improve what we do. Here's what that looks like:

Personal Information You Give Us
  • Name, email, phone number when you fill out contact forms or reach out to us
  • Company details and job title (helps us understand your needs better)
  • Project details and communication preferences
  • Billing information if you become a client (we don't store full credit card details - that's handled by our payment processor)
Stuff We Collect Automatically
  • IP address and general location (country/city level, not your exact address)
  • Browser type, device info, and how you navigate our site
  • Pages you visit and how long you stick around
  • Referral sources (like how you found us)

Quick note: If you're working with us on a crisis communication or reputation management project, we might need additional info specific to your situation. We'll always be upfront about what we need and why.

We're not gonna sell your info to random third parties or spam you with stuff you didn't ask for. Here's what we actually do with your data:

Service Delivery

Respond to inquiries, provide consultations, and deliver the crisis communication and brand defense services you hired us for.

Communication

Send updates about your projects, answer questions, and keep you in the loop on important stuff.

Improvement

Analyze how people use our site so we can make it better and more useful.

Legal Compliance

Meet our legal obligations and protect our rights (and yours) when necessary.

We might occasionally send relevant insights or updates about our services, but only if you've given us the green light. You can opt out anytime - no hard feelings.

We don't hand out your information like candy on Halloween. When we do share data, there's always a good reason. Here's the breakdown:

Service Providers

We work with trusted third parties who help us run our business - think email platforms, hosting services, analytics tools, and payment processors. They only get access to what they need to do their job, and they're contractually bound to keep your data secure.

Legal Requirements

If we're legally required to disclose information (like a court order or regulatory request), we'll comply. We'll also share data if it's necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or investigate potential fraud.

Business Transfers

In the unlikely event we sell or merge the business, your information might be part of that transfer. Don't worry - the new owners would still be bound by this privacy policy.

Important: We never sell your personal information to data brokers or use it for purposes outside of what's described here. That's not how we roll.

Given what we do for a living, you'd probably expect us to take security pretty seriously. You'd be right. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Our Security Approach Includes:
  • SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission
  • Secure servers with regular security patches and updates
  • Access controls - only authorized team members can access sensitive data
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Encrypted backups stored in secure locations
  • Employee training on data protection and security best practices

That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. If we ever experience a data breach that affects your information, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by Canadian law. We'll also work our butts off to fix the issue and prevent it from happening again.

Yeah, we use cookies - but not the delicious kind. These are small text files that help our website remember you and improve your experience.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you've got some solid rights when it comes to your personal information. Here's what you can do:

Question

Ask questions about how we handle your data

To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at contact@pyrethionstronghold.info or give us a call at (604) 555-8742. We'll get back to you within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your privacy concerns, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We don't keep your data forever - that'd be weird and unnecessary. Here's our approach to how long we hold onto different types of information:

  • Client Project Data: We retain project-related information for up to 7 years after project completion, primarily for legal and business continuity purposes. Crisis communication work sometimes requires longer documentation periods.
  • Contact Inquiries: If you reach out but don't become a client, we'll keep your info for about 2 years in case you change your mind or have follow-up questions.
  • Marketing Communications: We'll keep your subscription active until you opt out. Once you unsubscribe, we'll remove you from our lists within 30 days.
  • Website Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized data is kept for up to 26 months to help us understand trends.
  • Financial Records: We're required to keep billing and payment records for 7 years for tax purposes.

Once data reaches the end of its retention period, we securely delete or anonymize it. If you request deletion before the retention period ends, we'll honor that request unless we've got a legal obligation to keep the information.

We're based in Vancouver, BC, but sometimes your data might travel a bit. Some of our service providers (like cloud hosting or analytics platforms) might be located outside Canada, including in the United States.

When your data crosses borders, it becomes subject to the laws of that country. For example, data stored on US servers could potentially be accessed by US authorities under certain circumstances.

We only work with service providers who maintain strong security standards and have proper data protection agreements in place. We make sure they're handling your information responsibly, regardless of where their servers are located.

If you've got concerns about international data transfers, let us know. We're happy to discuss the specifics of where and how your data is stored.

Privacy laws evolve, technology changes, and our business grows. That means this policy might need updates from time to time.

When we make significant changes, we'll let you know by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • Sending an email to clients and subscribers (for major changes)
  • Posting a notice on our homepage for a reasonable period
